Directory Update provides a configurable web browser-based interface that allows end users to update their own Active Directory and Global Address List information. Data validation ensures data is more accurate. The user can only update the information that the administrator allows. Optional "Change Password", auditing and email notifications are can be enabled.
Directory Manager allows designated users such as Human Resources or Help Desk to update other user's Active Directory and Global Address List information. The administrator can restrict which user accounts the authorized Directory Manager user can search for and the information that can be updated. Optional change password and account unlock/enable/disable features available.
Directory Search allows users to search the Active Directory from a single Web-page interface to find user's phone numbers, titles, addresses, and photos. Filters allow the Directory Search phone directory results to be restricted to a subset of users or a specific organizational unit. Search results can be exported to Excel spreadsheets, PDF, or text files.
Directory Password allows the user to reset their own Active Directory password or unlock their own Active Directory user account if locked. The user initially answers their security questions using Directory Update and can reset their password or unlock their account using the Directory Password web page. Directory Password is popular with organizations that have remote users or VPN users.
Directory Update has an optional add-on module that can be enabled and allow Directory Update to update AD user account information in a Exchange resource domain. Resource domains are often used when an Exchange organization must be installed in a trusted forest. Mailboxes in the Active Directory resource domain must be configured as linked mailboxes each linked a corresponding user account from the accounts domain.
