A common and burdensome task many system administrators and help desks face is adding and removing users from security and email groups. This task is a burden because it is a simple task for any Tier 1 or Tier 2 IT person but opening, documenting, and closing a help desk ticket takes more time than the actual task.
Directory Manager Advanced mode offers a simple yet powerful solution that allows you to delegate group management to a selection of authorized users such as Human Resources or an admin assistant.
The system administrator can quickly enable this feature in the Directory Manager Advanced edition and even filter out certain high privileged so that the authorized users only see a subset of Active Directory groups. When the task is completed, an email notification can be sent the user, the user’s manager, and / or a pre-defined email alias.
