Allow users to reset a forgotten password

While many products exist on the market that enable self-service password resets, most are expensive and require client-side add-on for each desktop system on your network. Using our Directory Update and Directory Password tools, you can empower users to reset their on-premises Active Directory password. All that is required is web browser access through a kiosk or their own smart phone.
The user must first use the Ithicos Solutions Directory Update tool to either answer a series of security questions. The administrator can customize the list of questions available for the user to select as well as the number of questions the user must answer.
If the user wishes, they can setup two-factor authentication system such as Microsoft’s Authenticator app for smart phones.
Once your users have set up either their security questions or an authenticator app, they can access the Directory Password web application that will allow the user to reset their password. Alternatively, they can unlock their account if it is locked.
If you are not using Directory Update and Directory Password, both are available for download and are fully functional for 30 days in evaluation mode.
