|Dec 31 2021||European Union customers: We are no longer collected Value Added Taxes (VAT) for EU countries. This was quite costly for us to process. We found that this was optional on our part. VAT payments are once again your responsibility.|
|Dec 14 2021||The newly discovered Log4j vulnerability does not affect Ithicos Solutions web applications. Our applications are written using C# and the .NET Framework and run on Internet Information Server (IIS). This does serve as a good reminder to keep your Windows servers fully patched and ensure that updates to the .NET Framework are applied frequently.|
|Jun 28 2021||Due to a significant increase in per transaction costs this past year (eCommerce, credit card, and taxation fees) as well as product support costs, we will be implementing a price increase of between 10% and 15% on all software including software maintenance. Price increases should be in effect by 1 Sept 2021.|
|May 20 2021||Early releases of Directory Update v3.3 and Directory Password v3.3 are available on the Downloads page. Directory Password now includes the option to allow users to set up two factor authentication using smartphone apps such as Microsoft Authenticator, Google Authenticator, and Symantec VIP Access. Directory Update v3.3 now includes an option to launch a PowerShell script after a user clicks Update. Both require a new license key; all customers on active software maintenance and support are eligible to update.|
|Jan 16 2021||We have released a v3.2 release of all software products. This release addresses a Telerik-based security concern that affects older versions of our some of our software. We strongly recommend all customers update to this release immediately. If you have v3.1 licenses keys, the v3.1 license keys still work with v3.2. The software is available on our Downloads page. |Feb 16, 2020||New "EXE" based installers (rather than MSI only) have been posted for all v3.1 software. This was originally a v3.2 feature, but this solves several potential installation problems so we re-did v3.1. All executables and DLLs are now digitally signed; the installer will remind you that it is in administrator-elevated mode.|
